Making your own taco seasoning is a great way to control your families salt intake. You can add any type of powdered, crushed or dried peppers you wish to this recipe to increase the heat to you liking.
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt (in my opinion this can be omitted)
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
In a small bowl mix together all the spices and then store in an air tight container. Use three tablespoons per 1 pound of ground beef. You can add more seasoning until you reach desired flavor.
